The Commercial Service and Sales Enablement Manager is responsible for leading a team of Sales Enablement Specialists and Service Contract Specialists to deliver the service contract revenue targets. Through Sales Enablement they will provide a responsive customer experience, supporting sales growth with, for example quality lead handling, accurate and efficient quoting, proactive outreach initiatives and web shop support. They will ensure continuous improvement of the processes for the team, collaborating with cross functional Managers and peers within the EU and NA. The role will be primarily located in Salford, Greater Manchester on average 3 days per week.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • A commercial review of the teams progress through reporting and visual tracking of KPI’s, taking action to adjust resource plans and the work plan strategy, responding to the business needs and to improve the delivered results. This can also include gathering the voice of the customer and associate feedback.

  • Regular coaching, training and mentoring of the team with 1:1 and team meetings, ensuring the teams development and engagement which includes all employment functions such as hiring, onboarding and performance management reviews.

  • Working with EU/NA and local teams in problem solving or implementing new systems including proactively leading the problem solving process to address any gaps and customer issues requiring escalation support or technical process guidance.

  • Supporting the wider Sales team with commercial service solutions either by joining customer visits on site or remotely supporting tenders/bids acting as a solutions specialist for more complex service contract offers/renewals.

  • Presenting the teams successes, activities and needs at regular local/regional Management meetings, working with the wider Management team to influence decisions and priorities for the UK and Ireland.

  • Regular cross functional meetings to drive process improvement and improve the customer journey or commercial outcomes.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferred in Science Subjects or the equivalent in experience.

  • Experience in leading a small, high performing, fast paced and diverse team.

  • 3+ years sales experience selling service products and/or bespoke service solutions in a technical business to business environment or the equivalent in a Sales/Service support role.

  • Strong analytical skills. Comfortable working with large data sets to problem solve, to evaluate the results of commercial initiatives from various sources and further drive commercial growth.

  • Knowledge of the operations of plants and or laboratories, water testing requirements and water control regulations that apply to plants or laboratories is helpful.

  • Knowledge and experience working with Salesforce, Service Max or an equivalent CRM is a plus.

  • Willing to travel within UK & Ireland with some EU travel for training and business needs.
