Your Challenge
The Salesforce Lightning Developer would be responsible for the design, development, and customization of web applications, community portals, and other CRM and software solutions using Salesforce Lightning tools and technologies This role provides business support, analyzes requirements, and develops the solution and guidance within the Salesforce domain.
This position is part of the Information Technology – Salesforce Applications team, that is responsible for Global Commercial and Field Service applications within Salesforce, that includes, but not limited to SFDC Sales Cloud, SFDC CPQ, Marketo, Salesforce Field Service, and SFDC Experience Cloud (Communities).
As part of this team, you will be responsible for proactively identifying areas for improvements and introducing innovations, factoring in customer needs, external approaches, and industry best practices. Establishing a requirements strategy for projects, managing projects, deliverables, supporting production issues and actively managing delivery based on user priorities are also critical. Your responsibilities as Salesforce Lightning Developer at Videojet, include:
Translate business requirements into technical specifications developing new features and improving the existing ones to increase the functionality of Salesforce and its applications
Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to transform evolving requirements into working applications that meet the business and usability needs
Provide critical support to end users including managing issue resolution and performing root cause analysis
Leads user acceptance testing, identify testers, develop test scripts, and conduct test execution
Understand integration points with other systems that interface with Salesforce, and minimize ripple effects during development
Support Marketing, Sales, and Service projects and initiatives
Work in partnership with business stakeholders to understand and document their business processes, issues, challenges, and opportunities.
Directly create and modify, and oversee the development of logic-based business rules, email alerts and process flows to support continuous improvement
Comfortable with flexible and global work hours: this is a global team with business and team members on every major continent. There may be meetings with the team and business that may be later in the evening on a regular basis. You have the flexibility to make adjustments to your work hours so long as job responsibilities are met.
Your experience/skills will include:
Experience developing websites or web applications from scratch using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
Experience working with personas and understanding target audience users
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.
Experience or working knowledge Salesforce Experience Cloud and Digital Sites, developing custom solutions within the Salesforce platform including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Flows
Strong analytical and data-driven approach to provide solutions, hands on troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Strong capability to deliver results while quickly adapting to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges
High productivity, strong work ethics, commitment to meeting deadlines and to make steady progress on long-term projects without the need for “fire drills” or last-minute panic
Highly self-motivating and able to work without supervision, since this is a flexible work-from-home position on a global team with global management.
Ability and skills to work asynchronously, using online collaboration and work management tools to maximize productivity and value-add to the business while minimizing interruptions to work
Ability to drive towards a solution even when there is some business ambiguity
Salesforce knowledge: administration, data model, sharing and security architecture, standard Salesforce capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a global environment (in English), with both technical and non-technical team members and business users around the world. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English desired but not a requirement.
Outstanding understanding of new and existing technological capabilities in Salesforce and other IT solutions and ability to apply solutions within Videojet
Programming and/or SQL-related coding experience, and other CRM or ERP experience would be advantageous
3 years of relevant experience.
