About the role:

  • The Product Manager is a key strategic role within the Marketing function to drive growth by leading the product plan for assigned vertical markets and application areas. The primary role of the Product Manager is to lead product definition based on a strong understanding of customer pain points and market needs and create market awareness for new and existing products. The Product Manager supports the development of strategic planning for the business. The output of these efforts is business cases for individual new product launches and a well-defined product roadmap designed to deliver the company’s growth objectives, successful new product launches, commercialization of the offering, and attainment of ongoing market and profitability expectations.

  • A successful Product Manager is customer-focused, strategic, growth-oriented, has strong cross-functional capabilities, and leads by influence to identify and implement initiatives.

This position is part of the Marketing located in Hemet, CA and will be onsite.

In this role, you will:

  • Inform product development roadmap and product definitions; develop/validate business cases for new product opportunities by considering attractive customer segments, broader market trends, customer needs, and lead effective product launches.

  • Participate in overall product strategy, product planning and R&D requirements for new and emerging products.

  • Oversee a product portfolio and results, including revenue, pricing, and profitability. Actively and effectively manage existing portfolio, including, pricing, phase-out, product enhancements, etc.

  • Use primary and secondary market research to assess market and customer dynamics and work closely with Vertical Market Management and R&D to incorporate intelligence into offer development and lifecycle activities.

  • Perform regular competitive analysis to rate product capabilities, pricing, promotion, distribution; analyze how these impact market share; recommend and implement changes required to be competitive.

  • Rationalize solution offerings by performing map/gap analysis against current offering and market opportunities.

  • Create, execute, and analyze VoC plans; link prioritized customer needs in price/performance on product lines with focus on future product requirements including enhancements and breakthrough.

  • Lead the development of value selling approaches that creatively leverage competitive advantage.

  • Co-develop product marketing objectives and work with Market Communications team to operationalize marketing programs.

Are you qualified?

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field.

  • 5+ years of product management and product marketing experience.

  • Experience gaining customer insights to identify and size market needs.

  • Experience in the creation of new product design specifications.

  • Knowledge of municipal drinking/wastewater and/or industrial market preferred.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000 USD per year.
