About the Role

The Polymer Technical Consultant will have an exciting opportunity to provide polymer Food & Beverage & Chemical expertise support to the ChemTreat field sales representatives as needed throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America, making a difference in water quality and applying your industrial technical experience in wastewater! You can work remotely from any location, traveling throughout the continental U.S. on an average of three days/two nights per week. (about 60% of travel.)

In this role you will :

  • Provide technical support to ChemTreat sales representatives in product screening and treatment program selections, the application of chosen treatment programs, and in troubleshooting treatment programs to meet the customer’s cost and performance objectives

  • Provide field troubleshooting and technical assistance as required to include problem solving, sales representative on-site training, operator training, and equipment inspections.

  • Apply knowledge of polymer chemistry, polymer uses and application testing procedures.

  • Actively participating in the technology selection stage the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for products and solutions.

  • Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.

  • Travel Domestically and internationally at least 60% of the year

What are the requirements?

  • Bachelor of Arts/Sciences or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields is required.

  • 10+ years in a major water treatment company.

  • Technical and in-depth knowledge in one or more key industries, primary & biological wastewater, odor control and surface water clarification

  • Ability to present treatment recommendations in both oral and written communications

  • Background in one or more key industries involving influent clarification, cold lime softening, and wastewater treatment

  • Expertise with Polymers in the Chemical, and Food & Beverage Industry

  • Ability to present treatment recommendations in both oral and written communication

US ONLY :

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
